Event number 64, 6401 - 6439 Self diagnosis > Interference device

64, 6401, 6402, 6403, 6404, 6405, 6406, 6407, 6408, 6409, 6410, 6411, 6412, 6415, 6416, 6422, 6429, 6430, 6432, 6433, 6437, 6438, 6439

Event numbers 64, 6401, 6439 Self-diagnosis > Interference device

Event number 64 and the 4-digit event numbers 64xx generally indicate a device disturbance.

The following applies in general:
If the message only appears very rarely (a maximum of once or twice a week) or has appeared for the first time and can be rectified by means of a restart, no further action has to be taken. In this case, the next step is to continue to monitor the device.

However, if the message appears repeatedly or continuously, even after a restart, the cause and corrective action must be clarified by SMA Service.

In this case, please contact SMA Service with the following information:

- Device type and serial number of the inverter

- 4-digit event number

- How long has the error been present for now? Is it sporadic or continuous?

- Has a restart been performed yet?

- Are / were there further error messages or is the device beeping?

Special cases:

6406 / 6407 / 6429

When these errors occur, SMA Service needs additional information in order to clarify the cause and corrective action. Otherwise, the replacement device will report the same error in some system arrangements.

When you contact SMA Service, please give us the following information, in addition to the information above:

- Type and number of connected PV modules
Example for STP15000TL-10:
Input A: 3 strings each with 16 Heckert Solar NeMo 60P250 modules
Input B: 1 string with 13 Heckert Solar NeMo 60P250 modules

- Does the inverter feed in power despite the error? If so, to what level?

- Is the device beeping?
